Ingredients 10 items

  • 150 g or ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 250 g caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tin Nestlé® Cream or 170 g
  • 125 ml or ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1½ tablespoon of orange peel zest
  • 1¾ cup plain flour or 250 g
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

How to prepare

  1. Mix in a bowl the butter and sugar for 4-5 minutes until they are fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, Nestlé® Cream, orange juice, orange zest, flour, baking powder and soda bicarbonate then mix well until mixture is smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into a 24cm greased and floured round cake tin; bake in a 185°C preheated oven for 50-55 minutes or until when inserting a skewer in the center comes out clean.
  3. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
