Ingredients 10 items

  • ½ cup butter or 100 g, soft
  • ½ cup brown sugar or 100 g
  • 2 eggs
  • 1¾ cup plain flour or 250 g
  • 1 teaspoon dried ginger powder
  • 1 tin NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk or 397 g
  • 1½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup Raisins or 75 g
  • 1 tin NESTLÉ Cream or 170 g
  • 1 cup dates or 150 g, removed the seeds

How to prepare

  1. Combine butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour, ginger powder, NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk and baking powder in a bowl of an electric mixer.
  2. Beat on low speed until ingredients are well-combined. Then beat on medium speed until mixture is smooth and changes color. Stir in raisins.
  3. Spread mixture into 20cm x 30cm greased lamington pan. Bake in 170°C for 55 minutes or until cake is baked. Turn into wire rack to cool.
  4. Place NESTLÉ Cream and dates in a food processor. Process for 4 minutes or until mixture is smooth.
  5. Spread mixture evenly on the cake and chill.
