  • 3 cup Caster sugar
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 4 cups Pistachio nuts
  • 1 tin NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups butter
  • 4.5 cups Plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla powder

How to prepare

  1. Mix the softened butter with the flour by hand until evenly distributed.
  2. Make a well in the middle of the dry mixture and add vanilla, sugar and egg yolks. Use your fingertips to draw the ingredients together.
  3. Press the dough together into a ball, and then knead it lightly, pressing with hands until the dough is smooth.
  4. In a bowl, mix ground pistachio with NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk until it forms a paste. Then gently work together pistachio paste with the previous dough until combined, cover and chill for ½ hour.
  5. Sprinkle the dough with flour and place it between two sheets of greaseproof paper, then gently roll it between the papers to a 3mm thick.
  6. Cut out shapes with cookie cutter, place 1 cm apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 200°C preheated oven, for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Remove gently the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
  8. Dust the cookies with icing sugar to serve.
